TRACED Act picks up more cosponsors

Update: On April 15, 2019, we reported that the TRACED Act picked up eighteen more cosponsors, for a total of 53 sponsors and cosponsors. Since then, the proposed legislation to prevent spam robocalls has gained seven more cosponsors, for a total of 60 cosponsors plus one sponsor.

The TRACED Act picked up eighteen more cosponsors last week. The proposed legislation to combat spam robocalls and require STIR/SHAKEN caller ID authentication and verification now has 53 sponsors and cosponsors in the U.S. Senate.

On April 3, 2019, the TRACED Act was reported out of committee for consideration by the full Senate.
