TransNexus participates in Robocall Summit panel
TransNexus Invited to Share Knowledge in Robocall Summit Panel
ATLANTA, Georgia, August 25, 2026 — Alec Fenichel, Chief Technology Officer, TransNexus, was invited to participate in a panel discussion on “The Utility of STIR/SHAKEN in Fraud Mitigation” at the 2026 Robocall Summit in Asheville, North Carolina, on August 19-20, 2026.
Organized by the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), the 2026 Robocall Summit was open to government personnel only and included expert speakers from industry, government, and other entities involved in addressing robocall issues.
The panel discussed the benefits of attestation and signer identification provided by STIR/SHAKEN call authentication and its use in fraud mitigation.

Mr. Fenichel recounted our experience in working with the Voice Service Providers (VSPs) who use our software solutions to authenticate calls they originate and verify the call authentication information on calls that they terminate for their subscribers.
We have found that one of the most powerful benefits of STIR/SHAKEN is the identification of the authenticating VSP. As the STIR/SHAKEN standard explains, this identity enables downstream providers to “form a view of the reputation of the entity signing the PASSporT.” Over time, VSPs can use this reputation information to label, divert, or block calls from bad actors, sparing their subscribers from illegal calls.
TransNexus VSP customers use the authenticating service provider reputation as part of their efforts to protect their networks and customers from illegal calls.
We have also found that the attestation level provided by prolific robocall signers is of little use, as we find that they sign almost all their bad calls with full A-level attestation.
This view may seem surprising to some, as discussion of call authentication typically describes calls with A-level attestation as “good calls.” However, we have observed that A-level attestation is of little value when it is provided by a prolific robocall signer who is intent on authenticating and originating bad traffic on behalf of its customers.
The authenticating provider’s identity, provided with non-repudiation by the STIR/SHAKEN mechanism, is much more valuable.
