ClearIP adds feature enhancements to routing software
Enhancements give voice service providers greater control over routing decisions
ATLANTA, Georgia, August 13, 2019 — TransNexus today announced feature enhancements in its ClearIP routing software. The new capabilities provide greater granularity in defining how routing should be done for specific groups of calls.
LCR Provider Exclusions enhancements
This enhancement builds upon the LCR Provider Exclusions feature announced on June 17, 2019. This feature helps voice service providers quickly and easily remove a route provider from routing if they experience quality of service or call completion issues.
Initially, such exclusions could be scoped to LCR providers and optionally to called LATAs, SPIDs, and/or telephone numbers using longest prefix match.
With this enhancement, exclusions can also be defined for specific SBCs, Service Providers, Groups, Users, calling countries or calling numbers.
Disabled Route enhancements
Similar definition capabilities have been added to Disabled Routes.
This feature enables a voice service provider to abstain from routing calls. This capability is used by some wholesale providers. If they receive a call into their network, they may wish to return a SIP 404 response, which will cause the carrier who sent the call to route-advance to another provider.
Calls can be denied routing based upon LATA, SPID, and/or called number. In addition, now routes can also be disabled for specific SBCs, Service Providers, Groups, Users, calling countries or calling numbers.
