Financial Controller
TransNexus is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Controller with proven experience in integrating QuickBooks Online with external platforms.
In this role, you will oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while also streamlining our accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
TransNexus is a software provider to the telecom industry. Founded in 1997, TransNexus is the leading provider of secure call authentication services. We serve more telephone companies than our competitors and have a growing, recurring revenue stream as the telecom industry improves the security of their networks to prevent fraudulent calls.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Collaborate with the TransNexus software development team to design, build and test integration of:
- TransNexus applications that generate billing information with QuickBooks Online.
- QuickBooks Online with third party applications for taxes, invoices and payments.
- Be responsible for all sales tax and payroll tax reporting.
- Be responsible for federal, state and local tax filings.
- Respond to customers who open tickets with billing questions.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to maintain compliance and efficiency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on accounting and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Online and integration with external applications.
- Ability to understand API documentation and lead collaboration with developers to design integration solutions with QuickBooks Online is required.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
