TransNexus software uses standard SIP messages to integrate with other communications platforms. Our software solutions work well with any SIP-based telecom system.
TransNexus solutions use SIP Analytics to perform services. The TransNexus service is configured as a SIP destination and placed as the first route in the routing table. This directs the SIP device (e.g., softswitch, SBC, gateway or proxy) to send SIP INVITE records before each call begins. TransNexus software uses information in the INVITE to determine the services that you’ve configured for each call. It only takes milliseconds.
SIP Analytics performs the services and replies with a standard SIP message based upon the outcome:
- SIP 302 Moved Temporarily. The call will be routed using routes provided in the SIP 302 message. This response is used when SIP Analytics provides routing, is diverting the call or is adding information for STIR/SHAKEN.
- SIP 404 Not Found. The SIP device will route-advance to the next route in the routing table and send the call.
- SIP 503 Service Unavailable. The SIP device will route-advance to the next route in the routing table and send the call. (Same use-case as SIP 404—we configure the integration to use one or the other depending on the SIP device.)
- SIP 603 Decline. The call will be blocked.
All integrations with TransNexus software follows this general flow. Our software can also take advantage of particular capabilities found in specific platforms. See the platform descriptions below for more details:
