ClearIP introduces prepaid billing feature
Enables tight integration with other systems to manage prepaid billing
ATLANTA, Georgia, June 20, 2019 — TransNexus today announced a prepaid billing feature enhancement to its ClearIP software platform. This enhancement enables ClearIP users to use prepaid billing controls when processing calls. ClearIP prepaid billing can integrate with other systems to manage prepaid accounts.
Prepaid balance call control features
Prepaid balances can be managed by service provider, group or user.
When a prepaid balance reaches an alert balance, ClearIP will send a warning alerts by email, telephone text message or HTTP post.
When a prepaid account balance reaches a block balance, ClearIP will block calls until the balance is restored.
Prepaid balance integration features
Prepaid billing controls can be set through the ClearIP user interface. But the design assumes that voice service providers will use ClearIP integration features to manage prepaid billing in conjunction with other systems.
API calls can be made to ClearIP from other systems to decrement the prepaid balance of a service provider, group or user by a certain amount.
ClearIP can return information in SIP responses that can be used by other systems to track prepaid billing. This information can include:
- Service provider, group or user ID
- Current prepaid balance for the service provider, group or user
- Billing rate for the call.
By enabling API calls to adjust prepaid balances in ClearIP and returning prepaid balance information in SIP messages, the prepaid balance function supports tight integration with other systems.
