Criminals spoof the number for the FTC’s consumer response center
Readers of this blog are familiar with the problem of robocalls and caller ID spoofing that are plaguing the country's phone network. The FTC announced the newest scam in its blog and encourages people not to answer the call or if it is answered to promptly hang up. They reminded the public that it is still safe to report these calls via 1-877-382-4357.
