Overview

NexOSS is a suite of integrated back office applications that supports VoIP Least Cost Routing (LCR), Reporting, and Fraud Detection. NexOSS provides VoIP operators with an easy to use web interface for provisioning routes, rates, number translation rules, detecting fraud, and monitoring traffic analysis and billing reports.

Intelligent Routing and Fraud Detection

NexOSS saves VoIP service providers time and money with intelligent routing solutions. This includes no-loss Least Cost Routing that supports up to 1 00,000 translations, as well as routing by Quality of Service, time of day, day of week, and customer specific routing.

 

New in NexOSS is fraud detection routing. The new fraud detection features benefit users by enabling targeted call blocking without impacting legitimate calls, and by providing more visibility into how and when fraud attempts occur. By analyzing call routing requests and real time billing information in 60 minute windows, NexOSS can detect suspicious calls and automatically suspend or redirect suspicious routes from the routing table.

 

TransNexus software fraud triggers are customizable, and may detect fraud by IP address, GroupID, and UserID. This feature is important for detecting fraud from individual subscribers who have a dynamic IP address, or for systems that do not report IP addresses in CDRs. Fraud detection thresholds may be configured by call attempts, call transfers and call duration.

 

Fraud Blacklists and Scoring

Other new fraud detection features include a fraud blacklist and fraud scoring. With the fraud blacklist feature, users can upload their own blacklist, or upload a blacklist from the GSM Fraud Forum or the Communications Fraud Control Association (CFCA). This feature will automatically block calls to and from known fraudulent numbers, adding another layer of protection to the network.

 

Fraud scoring allows users to simplify fraud trigger provisioning by assigning customized “fraud scores” by dial code. This solution is perfect for providers who wish to allow legitimate calls to high fraud destinations, but want to limit their risk of being taken advantage of. When users exceed their predetermined “point” limit, the TransNexus software will send automatic email and SNMP messages.

 

Broadworks OCI -P Support

NexOSS supports the BroadWorks Open Client Interface – Provisioning (OCI -P) Applications Program Interface (API). This enables NexOSS to automatically block calls, or change the calling plan, for any user, group or service provider configured in BroadWorks. NexOSS can use either RADIUS accounting records reported by BroadWorks or CDR files.

 

Comprehensive Reporting

NexOSS offers complete Call Detail Record (CDR) reporting and analysis. NexOSS is easy to install and provides 65 comprehensive and easy to understand color coded Quality of Service (QoS) reports. NexOSS’s Near Real Time Reporting gives you the reports and alarms to detect quality of service problems before your customers do. Within minutes, CDRs can be incorporated into reports, and E-mail and SNMP Alarms provide an immediate alert when problems occur. Alarm triggers can be set for any of the call completion or quality of service statistics.

 

CDRAnalyzer

NexOSS includes a new application that stores rated CDRs for indefinite archiving and reporting. An easy to use, web based interface makes CDR searches and export simple for anyone – no DBA skills required. CDRAnalyzer creates weekly and monthly traffic, billing, and billing analysis reports by customer, provider, day, or breakout. Users may also create ad hoc charts and reports.
